Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary:
We’re looking for a skilled Senior Network Engineer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in implementing, optimizing, and maintaining secure, high-performance enterprise network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will support network design activities, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the stability and integrity of in-house and client networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and manage LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud-integrated network solutions
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security
- Implement and support firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced Layer 2/3 issues using root cause analysis
- Work closely with IT and cybersecurity teams during infrastructure upgrades and incident response
- Maintain detailed network documentation, topology diagrams, and SOPs
- Assist in capacity planning and network scalability initiatives
- Ensure network security through audits, firmware upgrades, and patch management
- Contribute to network optimization initiatives and basic automation (Ansible, Python, etc.)
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3–4 years of experience in network engineering or related roles
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VLANs, and subnetting
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.)
- Experience in firewall administration, VPN configuration, and load balancer management
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, etc.)
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications: CCNP, Fortinet NSE4+, Juniper JNCIS, or equivalent
- Understanding of cloud networking (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Exposure to SD-WAN, Zero Trust Networks, or NAC technologies
- Basic knowledge of scripting or automation tools (Python, Bash, Ansible)
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Clear communication skills—both written and verbal
- Ability to coordinate tasks and support junior team members
- Comfortable working in SLA-driven environments
