Job Description – Network Engineer
The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting network systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security. You will work closely with internal IT teams to support network-related services and ensure smooth operations across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues
Implement and manage network security including firewalls, ACLs, and encryption protocols
Support deployment and integration of new network technologies and upgrades
Perform network capacity planning and performance optimization
Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and infrastructure
Respond to network incidents, service requests, and downtime issues
Collaborate with IT teams for application and infrastructure support
Skills Required
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and subnetting
Experience with network devices such as Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba
Familiarity with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, and Wireshark
Basic understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud)
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and documentation abilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
1–2 years of experience in network engineering or IT support roles
Certifications such as CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or CompTIA Network+ preferred
